The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels dropped to 751 points on Friday for the first time this week on weaker capesize and panamax segments.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, was down 4 points or 0.53 percent to 751 points.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk.
