Northern Europe HRC Steel prices remain steady in July

HR coil prices in Northern Europe remained steady during July, with daily index registering only small sideways movements.

According to TSI, domestic steel producers tried to maintain offer levels during the quiet holiday period, and HR coil spot prices persisted in the €410-420 a ton range.

With demand seasonally low, market sentiment was mostly bearish and TSI’s daily index ended the month at a 12-month low level of €413 a ton.
