According to statistics, Japan’s imports of stainless steel products totaled 21,715 tonnes in May, falling by 4.7% from a month ago.
In May, the country’s imports of stainless steel products from South Korea decreased by 2.4%; those from Taiwan fell by 12.5% and those from China dropped by 21.21%, all compared to the figures in a month earlier.
Meanwhile, Japan’s import prices of stainless steel products averaged at USD 2,995.53 per tonne in April, rising by 6% MoM.
