It is reported that Mr. Mehdi Karbasia, Iran’s deputy minister of industry, mine and trade, Iran exported more than 2 million tons of steel last year, which is the first time in its history.
The official said that the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade issued necessary permit for the export of steel back to 2013, which has been extended several times and still in place. Also that the target for steel exports in current year are expected to reach 4 million tons, twice than figure of last year, he said.
IMIDRO, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, released a report earlier in this April saying that Iran’s raw steel production was increased about 10% year on year in the first quarter of 2015, right over 4 million tons.
