China’s stainless crude steel output was 24.94 million tonnes in 2016, up 3.38 million tonnes or 15.65 percent on a yearly basis, a new record high, according to Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises Association.
Of those, #300 output was 12.69 million mt, up 1.48 million mt or 13.22 percent year-on-year, accounting for 50.89 percent of the total, down 1.09 percentage points year-on-year; #400 output was 4.85 million tonnes, up 876,500 tonnes or 22.08 percent year-on-year, occupying 19.43 percent of the total, up 1.02 percentage points year-on-year; #200 output (including some that do not meet national standards) was 7.32 million mt, up 990,200 tonnes or 15.65 percent year-on-year, accounting for 29.34 percent of the total, down 0.01 percentage point year-on-year.
